VistaTEC Rounds Out Service Offering with VLRS: VistaTEC is delighted to announce the establishment of the VistaTEC Language Review Services (VLRS) division.

VistaTEC established a state-of-the-art Cross Platform Software Testing Lab to provide services to software publishers who develop applications that work across different hardware set-ups, environments or operating systems. Since early 2001 the company has provided extensive and complex testing services to some of the world’s top software companies including Computer Associates, Novell and McAfee.

VistaTEC’s Cross Platform Lab has a sophisticated setup of interlinked platforms, the most recent products and accompanying versions and technical experts to manage it all. In addition to the multitude of servers, the Lab’s server room contains a complete Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure that is connected to the Lab’s network backbone giving seamless access from the multiple hardware platforms and operating systems in use. The SAN includes features such as:

a storage capacity of 1TB,
dual Brocade Silkworm 16-Port switches (fibre connectivity),
both an ADIC Scalar and a Dell Powervault Tape Library,
DLT and LTO tape devices.

The VistaTEC Server Farm

The associated server farm has also grown substantially with the addition of:

several new IBM RS6000 servers running AIX 4.1, 5.2,
more HP9000 servers running HP-UX 10, 11, 11i and 11i v2,
SunFire V220 Servers running Solaris 7, 8, 9 and 10.

To complement a Compaq DL590/64 Titanium Server for running 64-bit Windows, Compaq DL360 servers with Intel Xeon processors and DL145 servers with AMD Opteron processors have been added to run Windows x64 and Linux AMD64/EMT64T Operating systems.

The Lab also includes multiple Windows servers for cross platform testing across a 100Mbs or 1GB network infrastructure. This comprehensive infrastructure provides VistaTEC with the capacity and flexibility to complete any testing-intensive project across multiple platforms, language and hardware configurations.

The Cross Platform Lab also allows remote secure VPN access over the Internet so that at any point in time, our clients can check status and technical specifications on all the machines in the project. Additionally, VistaTEC has several separate server and testing rooms that can be used for projects with specific security requirements.
