VistaTEC Rounds Out Service Offering with VLRS: VistaTEC is delighted to announce the establishment of the VistaTEC Language Review Services (VLRS) division.

VistaTEC’s Internationalization (I18N) consultants will, in cooperation with our client’s development personnel, identify areas of the product’s architecture and supporting components (such as documentation and help) that do not adhere to recognized international development practices. They then suggest alternative methodologies that facilitate international application.

Analysis will cover:

Text input, display and output for a range of language groups
International formats and settings
An application’s overall architecture and structure at source level
Methods for output of UI commands and messages
String storage and manipulation
Data input, output, storage and manipulation throughout the application
Hard-coded strings
Use of particular API calls and libraries
Benefits of Unicode* enabling
Structure, functionality and authoring style of User Assistance (documentation, help, etc.)

Audit will cover:

Deployment on local languages versions of OS
Access to application through local language versions of operating systems, middleware and servers
Pseudo-translation, the process of substituting the source language with extended characters in areas displayed to the user
Input and validation of local language test data
